SEJI'S MISSION
The mission of Seji S.O.A.R.S., Inc. is to empower individuals and families facing barriers to stability by providing access to essential resources, supportive services, and opportunities that promote self-sufficiency and long-term success. Grounded in Stability, Opportunity, Access, Resources, and Support, we help individuals and families navigate difficult circumstances, overcome barriers, and move toward stronger, more sustainable futures.

AT A GLANCE
A Distinct Identity
Seji S.O.A.R.S., Inc. was founded with a commitment to creating second opportunities for first-time justice-impacted African American males returning to their communities. Our early work focused on reducing barriers to successful reentry by connecting individuals with employment opportunities, housing resources, counseling, mental health support, life skills, and other services necessary to rebuild their lives.
We also recognized the importance of prevention. Our mission expanded to include mentorship and support for at-risk African American adolescent males, with an emphasis on helping young people make positive choices, develop life skills, and avoid future involvement with the justice system.
As Seji S.O.A.R.S. continued serving the community, we saw another reality: the barriers we were addressing did not begin or end with incarceration. Housing instability, food insecurity, unemployment, transportation challenges, family hardship, and limited access to resources can affect entire families and often create cycles that are difficult to overcome without support. In response to the needs we encountered, our work naturally expanded.
Today, Seji S.O.A.R.S. assists individuals and families experiencing hardship by providing food assistance, essential necessities, holiday support, community outreach, resource connections, and other forms of assistance designed to help stabilize households during difficult circumstances. We remain committed to supporting justice-impacted individuals and prevention efforts for youth while broadening our reach to address the needs of individuals and families facing barriers to stability.
This evolution has also given new meaning to S.O.A.R.S.
